Campaign for Sustainable Transportation
We’re an all-volunteer group that supports alternatives to automobile dependency, including making our streets safe for bicycling and walking; incentives for commuters to use modes besides solo driving; and reinvigorating our public transit system. We oppose projects that prioritize auto dependency, including widening Highway 1 and building a new parking structure in Downtown Santa Cruz. We support use of the rail corridor for some kind of transit alongside a bike-pedestrian trail.

Electric Auto Association Central Coast Chapter (EAACCC)
The EAACCC is a chapter of the Electric Auto Association (EAA). The EAA is a non-profit educational organization that promotes the advancement and widespread adoption of Electric Vehicles. The EAA acts as a public source of information to communicate developments in electric vehicle technology, to encourage experimentation in the building of electric vehicles, and to organize public exhibits and events of electric vehicles, and to educate the public on the progress and benefits of electric vehicle technology.
Monterey Bay Electric Vehicle Alliance (MBEVA)
MBEVA is proud to be the leading group educating and advocating for electric vehicles in the Monterey Bay region. Founded in 2009, MBEVA is a California grassroots public-private partnership comprised of diverse stakeholders in the tri-county region of Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties whose overall mission is to promote rapid adoption of plug-in electric vehicles. MBEVA is fiscally sponsored by Ecology Action.
Santa Cruz County Friends Of the Rail and Trail
The mission of the Santa Cruz County Friends of the Rail Trail (FORT) is to promote, support, and enable the development of a rail with trail transportation system in Santa Cruz County. FORT’s current focus is to support the construction of the 32-mile Rail Trail from Watsonville to Davenport.Click here for map of the rail corridor. To this end, FORT is garnering wide-spread community support for the Rail Trail through public education, outreach, advocacy and fundraising.
Santa Cruz County Greenway
We are motivated by the prospect of a scenic, safe, and functional 32-mile bicycle and pedestrian path winding from Davenport to Watsonville. Our Greenway will save mature trees and existing foliage and include innovative native landscaping along a state-of-the-art active transportation route. Greenway users will enjoy healthy exercise, fresh air, and open spaces as they travel safely from neighborhood to neighborhood.

The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is responsible for delivering a full range of safe, convenient, reliable, and efficient transportation choices for the community. With a focus on long-term sustainability, the RTC plans, funds, and implements transportation projects and services.
