Art in the Arboretum, Opening Reception, November 4, 4-6 pm

The UC Santa Cruz Arboretum proudly presents Art in the Arboretum, October 15th – January 10th, a rotating show of two sculpture exhibits per year, themed by nature and placed strategically throughout the gardens. During the run of each exhibit, the Arboretum will host an Opening Reception in coordination with First Friday Santa Cruz with demonstrations and workshops. All pieces are available for purchase.
Art in the Arboretum is being curated by local artist and sculptor Susana Arias to promote art and artists in Santa Cruz. Arias (www.susanaarias.com) is leading this important project due to her passion for art and her desire to promote and encourage her fellow artists.

JANUARY, 2017 UCSC SUSTAINABILITY OFFICE HOSTS THE INTER-ORG RETREAT

The Inter-Organizational Sustainability Retreat is a fun annual opportunity designed to unite UCSC’s many sustainability-focused organizations on campus. This retreat is a chance for you to take a weekend vacation to Camp Campbell in Boulder Creek where you can meet others that are working on sustainability and social justice projects on campus and collaborate! More than 100 students, staff, and faculty will spend the weekend sharing meals, learning leadership skills, making new friends, strengthening existing relationships, and participating in visioning activities around the past, present, and future of UCSC sustainability.
