COP30: Over USD 5.5 billion Announced for Tropical Forest Forever Facility as 53 Countries Endorse the Historic Declaration

Nov 6 - Today, at the COP30 Leader’s Summit, in Belém, the Tropical Forest Forever Facility was officially launched during a high-level event with leaders of more than thirty countries – both tropical forest nations and sponsor countries – and the UN Secretary-General to mark this milestone in global environmental finance. Hosted by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the event featured the announcement of the TFFF Launch Declaration, which has already received endorsements from 53 countries, including 19 potential sovereign investors.
