Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History: We Achieved The Highest Accreditation!

We are proud to announce that we have achieved accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), the highest national recognition afforded to the nation's museums! Accreditation signifies excellence to the museum community, to governments, funders, outside agencies, and to the museum-going public. Alliance Accreditation brings national recognition to a museum for its commitment to excellence, accountability, high professional standards, and continued institutional improvement. Our museum is one of just 78 accredited museums in California and we are honored to be the only accredited museum in Santa Cruz County. This distinction reflects the dedication of our staff, volunteers, board, and community, and will carry us forward into our Bright Future as we renovate our historic building to match our excellence in service.
