A cutting-edge renewable energy project is taking shape in Morrow County, northeastern Oregon. The Sunstone Solar project, approved by state regulators in November 2024, will span nearly 9,500 acres and feature 1,200 megawatts of solar capacity paired with up to 7,200 megawatt-hours of battery storage.
