The Santa Cruz Mountains Stewardship Network is a collaboration of twenty-five organizations engaged in land stewardship in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The tours bring community leaders out on to the land to learn first-hand about the diverse and complex issues that are involved in caring for the lands of the Santa Cruz Mountains. In 2026, Spotlight Stewardship includes tours of Pescadero Watershed, Upper Pajaro River agriculture and conservation lands, commercial timberland, Big Creek Lumber sawmill, Scott Creek Resiliency Project, weelili onyenmak Preserve, and San Lorenzo River Watershed. The tours will cover forest health projects, watershed health, threatened and endangered species, commercial timber operations, fire, recreation, habitat restoration, and connectivity.
