Environment California: Don't Let The Pajaro River Be Polluted Again

Nestled along California's Central Coast, the Pajaro River provides essential habitat for endangered species including the red legged frog, long-toed salamander and steelhead trout, and a beautiful place for families to enjoy the outdoors.A nearby mining company, Graniterock, has frequently polluted the river, according to a lawsuit filed by Environment California, along with the California Sportsfishing Protection Alliance. Now, instead of cracking down, the regional water board wants to make changes to the mining company's permits that would make it harder for the public to know whether Graniterock is releasing harmful levels of pollution.
