National Wildlife Fund: Protect Roseate Spoonbills From Spaceport Construction and Rocket Launch Debris

SpaceX is proposing the busiest spaceport in the world for a remote stretch of wetlands in Louisiana, home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, The company has purchased 125,000 acres of marsh for a “Starbase,” with a goal of launching dozens of rockets a day. The federal government is proposing to waive 13 environmental laws to fast-track the project, including the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and Endangered Species Act.Putting a development like this in the middle of such an important wildlife area puts roseate spoonbills, other resident and migratory birds, and endangered species like Rice’s whales at risk. Please take action HERE to ensure Louisiana’s vibrant wildlife are not sacrificed for a spaceport.
