The Michigan state government will decide by July 7 whether to approve a key permit for the expansion of Line 5, a massive oil pipeline running through the largest freshwater system on Earth. Line 5 has already spilled 33 times, and history shows another leak is a matter of when, not if. The Great Lakes are an irreplaceable ecosystem that we cannot afford to pollute even more.
