Rally to Support California Coastal Commission’s Opposition to Fracking in Our Coastal Waters, August 13, 8 AM
Save Our Shores, Center for Biological Diversity, Surfrider, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and other local groups are organizing a rally on August 13th to support the Coastal Commission in its opposition to fracking in federal waters off the coast of Ventura (Platform Gilda). Join us to stand with the California Coastal Commission protecting our coast from offshore drilling and fracking. The federal administration is coming after California’s coastal protections from all fronts, but on August 13, the commission has the opportunity to take a stance on several critical issues. Ask the commission to formally object to the current proposal to start fracking in the Pacific Ocean for the first time in over a decade. At the Scotts Valley Hilton, 6001 La Madrona Drive, Santa Cruz. Or submit REQUEST to speak by phone or at the hearing at 9 AM
