Sierra Club: Tell Congress To Defend the Endangered Species Act!

Legislation is moving forward in Congress that would seriously undermine the Endangered Species Act. The "ESA Amendments Act" (HR 1897), sponsored by Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-AR), would rewrite key portions of the bedrock environmental law, decreasing protections for threatened and endangered wildlife. Why is this happening? The Endangered Species Act is one of the most widely supported environmental laws in America. But despite that, Trump and his allies in Congress want to undermine it or get rid of it completely.
